The room was full of mosquitoes, and the old, dirty air conditioner didn’t help. The bathroom was awful too: the shower dripped, the plastic toilet seat and very old sink were unpleasant, there was nowhere to put our things, and water collected in the shower stall. The towels, sheets, toilet paper, and soap were all very poor quality. The room looked nothing like the photos, with old items, lots of exposed wires, an old refrigerator, and a computer monitor being used as a TV that only had one channel. We couldn’t get in when we arrived. Someone had messaged beforehand with check-in instructions, but nobody met us there; we were only told the gate code and that the key was in the room. After calling repeatedly, someone finally answered in a bad mood and opened the gate. The service was terrible, and Luisa, the employee at breakfast, showed no warmth at all. We asked for the Wi-Fi password on WhatsApp and never got an answer. WhatsApp and that call were the only ways the “inn” communicated with us, and the person was completely unfriendly. Breakfast was very basic, though it was the only part of the booking listing that matched reality. Even the basics, cutlery, plates, and cups, weren’t there at first. We had to ask, and they took a while to arrive. There was no water at breakfast either. I wouldn’t stay here again even for free, especially with such an outrageous nightly rate for what’s provided.
