For the price, it did the job well. It’s a quiet, cool place among the trees, ideal if you want to get away from the bustle of the center. There’s no breakfast, but that wasn’t a problem for us since we got to try the town’s bakeries. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and coffee grounds, little biscuits, and water, plus very powerful air conditioning. A couple of drawbacks: the steep entrance ramp has a tight curve, and several cars spun their tires trying to get up. There was dust on the room floor and quite a few insects. I think they may have missed that before we arrived, though it wasn’t anything extreme. The place is a bit away from the center, but walkable. Late at night it feels rather deserted, so with a child we chose to take an Uber back for safety. If you want quiet and nature, it’s perfect.

A really nice welcome, a clean house, everything organized, and lots of utensils to use. A wonderful choice if you’re after a few peaceful days. It has a family feel.

The worst place I’ve stayed in Penedo. I try to be fair in my reviews, but I honestly wondered how they got such a high rating while offering this kind of service. I arrived to check in at 7 pm. The place was dark, too far from the center to walk, and very muddy when it rained. The room was small, and the bed seemed improvised with pieces of wood. It creaked whenever I moved. The owner was extremely inflexible. Checkout was at noon, and at 12:03 she was knocking, telling me I had just seven more minutes to leave, even though I was with my autistic child. Any mother of a child with additional needs knows how hard even ordinary things can be. I had to rush out, although I checked out hours later than I could have. Worst of all, she simply opened my room door without knocking in the morning because she saw my husband’s car leave to go to the bakery.

It’s an old place, and the bed was really bad. You could feel the mattress springs when lying down, and the wooden floors creak a lot. I don’t recommend it.
