Topazio Imperial Hotel

A top place.

The staff were helpful, but the hotel is pretty bare-bones, basically just somewhere to sleep. There’s no pool or games room, and the TV only gets about three open channels. The so-called gym is one treadmill and one bike in a dusty room. I left nothing valuable in my room because I had to hand in my key every time I went out. They said it was to stop keys getting lost, but having to leave it at reception felt uncomfortable and cost me privacy. It should be enough to return the key at checkout, like elsewhere. The sound insulation was awful too. I was on the first floor and could hear everyone talking in the corridor at night, as well as people checking in at reception.

Even though my room was for one, it was thoughtfully set up with two bath towels, two face towels, sheets, and both a light and a thick blanket. The staff were warm and welcoming. If you need a hotel in town, this one should serve you very well.
