Pousada Bangalôs Cipó

The location was great, the place was very clean, and the people were kind. Breakfast was amazing too. I’d definitely recommend it!

I loved staying here. It’s a simple inn, but so cozy and full of character, with nothing important missing. Breakfast came with excellent cheese bread, plus homemade juices, cakes, and jams. The owners were friendly and welcoming. I spent the afternoon reading in a hammock and slept deeply in the bed. It’s a great place to relax and get to the Serra’s attractions, and despite what some comments said, it’s just a short hop from the town center.

The location is great, close to several restaurants, a pharmacy, and cafés. Ana Paula and Evandro take very good care of their guests, and the breakfast is delicious and thoughtfully prepared.

The breakfast was tasty, and our room was clean and cozy, with both smart TV and cable so we could use Netflix and YouTube. We stayed in a bungalow with one large window and a curtain for when it was open. In winter that was fine, though I imagine it could get stuffy in hot weather; there was a fan but no air conditioning. My boyfriend and I spent two days there over a holiday. We were welcomed warmly, and the pousada is lovely, with a slightly mystical feel and a handy location for going out in town at night. I didn’t find it noisy like some people had mentioned. The only little surprise was hearing sounds on the bungalow roof at night. We asked the host and figured it might be the cats or the pousada’s little monkeys. I love both, especially the adorable rusty-colored cat, so it didn’t bother me much. I would have liked a shower screen with a door to keep water from splashing everywhere, and the bathroom door in our bungalow wouldn’t close. Otherwise, I recommend it and would return.
