The view is easily the best part. You wake up and go to sleep right by the mouth of the Rio Real, looking out over the river, sea, mangroves, and the lovely garden Alex and Antônio have grown. It’s an incredible place to watch both sunrise and sunset, and probably the best view from a stay in Mangue Seco. Maria makes a wonderful breakfast. There’s split air conditioning, Wi-Fi, linens, hot water, and a great hammock facing the river. I’d absolutely recommend it.

That view is surreal, and Alex and Antônio are wonderful hosts. This was my second time staying at the inn.

We had a fantastic stay, thanks to Alex and Antonio and the charming people who run this wonderful place. It feels like a paradise for anyone who loves nature. On our boat ride, we were lucky enough to spot turtles and dolphins. I highly recommend spending a few days here.

The hosts treated us with so much care, and the meals were incredible. I still miss that personalized breakfast: warm cake, local fruit juice, molasses, macaxeira, all of it fantastic. Easily the best breakfast I’ve had, much better than at big hotels. It’s such a simple place, but a ten out of ten. The rooms are basic, the bed is comfortable, and everything was very clean. The location gives me chills just thinking about it. A little corner of paradise!
