The food, drinks, and entertainment at Japaratinga Lounge Resort were fantastic, but a few things really got in the way of enjoying the stay. The place also felt cramped, with a social media crowd vibe that didn't feel relaxing to me. If you're hoping for an open beach resort surrounded by nature, this may not suit you. My room needed basic maintenance: paint was peeling, the door was moldy, and the lock didn't work properly. The Wi-Fi was very poor too. The corridors had an overpowering fragrance that seemed to trigger sinus problems for several guests, including me. I suspect it was being used to cover a general smell of damp and mold.

We had a great time and will definitely come back with the rest of the family. The staff were all extremely polite and kind, and the pools were great. There was excellent live entertainment, more than one musical act each day. The food was excellent every day. Alongside the buffet, there was a different à la carte option each day, and the all-inclusive drinks selection had plenty of beers and other drinks.

The rooms, pools, beach bar, and everything else were lovely. The resort had all the facilities we needed, and even the beach bathroom was extremely clean. There was a shop on site with anything you might need, including sunscreen. The people working here were kind and respectful, always ready to help. Every meal was delicious, and the beach bar had lots of snacks to choose from. Shows ran every day, at night in the pub or beach bar, and the hotel's nature activities were great too. Those five days were the best I've ever had at a resort. Thanks, Japaratinga hotel, for a wonderful vacation. I'm in love with this place!

I wish there were more shady spots by the pool, but apart from that, everything was perfect. The staff were amazing, and the beach was beautiful, clean, and calm. A wonderful stay in Brazil. This place really shows the country's tourism potential. Don't miss the delicious coffees at Moema Café.
