Casa Valentini Pousada

Really loved staying here in jericoacoara. The room was great, breakfast was great too, and the staff were awesome.

The breakfast was decent, with fruit, bread, cakes, and juice, though the choices got repetitive. I also noticed the ham and sausages in the fillings had an unusual color. We were on the ground floor, and the cleaning staff swept outside our door before 7 a.m.; the gardener watering plants at 3 a.m. was disruptive too. I mentioned it at reception, and it didn’t happen again. The inn is priced like a four-star place, though I’d rate it three stars. It’s quite a walk from the busy village center, despite looking close on the map. We were also disappointed by the inflexible checkout. We had to leave the room at 12:30 because they said new guests were due, then waited over two hours in the unairconditioned reception in roughly 31° heat for our transfer. During that time, our room wasn’t cleaned and no one checked in. Since our own check-in had been at 18:00, the lack of consideration felt especially disappointing.

I loved spending time on the rooftop, it’s beautiful and really pleasant. The room was spacious and very clean, though the soundproofing in room 6 was poor and we could hear what was happening in the neighboring rooms. The inn is close to the center. Breakfast was okay, but could be better. All in all, we had a good stay.
