Mandala Hostel

After two weeks in Jeri, I left the hostel today and really enjoyed my time here. As a solo traveler, the social atmosphere was what made the stay for me. Breakfast in the common area was a natural place to meet people, with staff who were always cheerful and helpful. The hostel stayed a meeting point during the day too, whether I was working or studying there or out kite-surfing. I stayed in the mixed eight-bed dorm. It was cleaned every day, and the sheets were changed at least once a week. Muito Obrigado from Suecia 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Mandala feels more like a social hotel than a hostel, with good quality and cleanliness. Everyone was friendly, and the free breakfast was handy and a nice way to chat in the morning. They also sell discounted tickets for night events and arrange rides for excursions. It’s in a convenient spot on the main street. I first booked a small private room with a shared bathroom. When I asked about upgrading, the staff moved me to a much bigger room with plenty of space and a clean bathroom.

I loved staying here! The volunteers were all so, so nice, the breakfast was incredible, and both the rooms and the rest of the hostel were kept clean. They were also really helpful with information about tours and transfers. If I’m ever back in jerry, I know where I’m staying. Please pass on my goodbye to juju, I didn’t get the chance to say it :)

The breakfast was the best part: amazing, with good quality ingredients, fresh cake every day, and homemade food. The hostel is social without being messy. I only wish the shared rooms had bed curtains and that there were more shared bathrooms.
