The pool felt unsafe: its drain had such strong suction that it pulled at anyone who came near. That suggests a serious lack of basic maintenance and safety. The breakfast was frustrating too, with exactly the same choices every day, little variety, poor replenishment, and no apparent care for guests. We were shown a room that was completely different from the one we had booked, and it wasn’t properly set up. There was nowhere suitable for clothes, the layout was poor, and it lacked basic comfort. The bathroom was in bad shape: the shower didn’t work properly and there was no shower enclosure, so water spread across the whole space with every shower, leaving it uncomfortable and unsafe. The photos on the booking sites don’t match what’s actually there. The afternoon receptionist was rude, unfriendly, and unprepared to handle our complaint, showing no interest in fixing anything. The inn also lacks proper facilities, upkeep, and organization, and showed little respect for guests. I wouldn’t recommend it or return.

The location and price made the poor experience even harder to accept. I paid R$ 300,00 for one night and didn’t get basic facilities or hospitality, which is unacceptable in a tourist destination like Jericoacoara. The afternoon attendant was rude, unfriendly, and poor at communicating. When I raised the problems, he gave me a sour look and showed no courtesy at all. The pool was dirty and muddy-looking, and when its drain was on it pulled people toward it. In the bathroom, there was no shower enclosure, so water got everywhere, and there was a strong sewer smell. The shower gave electric shocks when switching between hot and cold, which is seriously dangerous. When I arrived tired from Fortaleza, the shower opening was broken and no water came out, so we had to ask for another room. Breakfast had the same low-quality options each day, with too little replenishment and poor organization. If there isn’t the basic structure to host tourists, the place should close. Jericoacoara gets visitors from all over the world, and this kind of service hurts the destination’s image. I also wouldn’t recommend booking through Daluz Turismos (Fortaleza). The salesperson Luiz recommended this pousada, which seemed more like a poorly equipped hostel, and there are much better hostels in Jeri. Disappointing from start to finish. I do not recommend it.

The location is excellent, close to the beach, market, restaurants, bakery, and pretty much everything. Cláudio at reception was very helpful and polite. He said they’re making some adjustments, and I hope they follow through so guests can have better facilities. The rooms are small and could be arranged and cleaned better. The bathrooms are very old, and the shower didn’t run hot, which didn’t bother me in the heat but might bother others. Breakfast has limited options, though there’s plenty to eat. The pool needs daily cleaning, as the water was quite dark. Still, it’s decent value for the price.

The food was very simple, and the room was never cleaned during the three days I stayed. The bathroom hadn’t been washed, with dried urine marks on the toilet wall and a dirty sink. There was mold everywhere in the room, and the towels, bedspread, and pillowcase were badly stained and moldy. I wasn’t welcomed properly, and they didn’t provide even the basic dignity of a clean room. The only thing going for this hotel is its location. Everything is dirty.

The only good thing is the location. The room and bedding smelled of mold, and the bathroom was dirty and reeked of sewage. The toilet was yellowed, and a cockroach came out of the drain. The air conditioner was noisy too. Breakfast wasn’t great, although the woman serving the food was a sweetheart.
