Pousada Juventude Familiar

The location is very good, and breakfast, served outside the inn, was plentiful. But hygiene needs a lot of work. We stayed nearly four days and our rooms were never cleaned, nor were the bed linens changed. When we asked for fresh sheets, one of the owners, seu Branco, spoke to us very rudely. There was also an unpleasant cigarette smell that lingered in the room because this gentleman was out in the area smoking all the time. The electric showers in all the rooms we stayed in were broken. They really need to improve the cleanliness of the rooms.

It’s a simple inn, but it has the essentials and sits right in the center. The atmosphere is lovely and very family friendly. They can arrange tours and share useful information, which made things easier for us. Breakfast was homemade and had a good range of options.

Staying here felt magical. It’s cozy, the people are so kind, and the shops are close by. They arrange tours and take photos too, and I can’t think of anything to complain about. The simple feel of the place is what makes it so cozy. The service was great, our room was clean, and breakfast was excellent!
