Pousada Tropical Brasil Jeri

The photos made the place look wonderful, and I regret booking my nights here. I should have spent a bit more and stayed at one of the better quality, more accessible pousadas in the village. I went ahead because the ad showed a jacuzzi tub and a nice pool, but the pool area really isn't worth it. The advertising gives people the wrong impression. After I arrived with everything paid, I found out the tub was in the owner's room, and the stove shown in the ad wasn't available. Breakfast was very repetitive, and cleaning wasn't worth asking for. The bathroom was tiny, the shower handle was slimy and gave shocks, the shower corners were grimy, and the soap holder was coming loose. The ads said the TV had streaming, but it's not a smart TV and won't connect to phones or Wi-Fi. I left my 85” TV behind so I could watch the news and cable TV cartoons.

Comfortable rooms, a pleasant breakfast service, and helpful staff.

The pousada is a long way out, and the staff always looked unhappy. Our room was missing a pillow. When we asked, we were told there weren't any, though a different staff member brought one the next morning. The cleaning left a lot to be desired, and breakfast was very poor. A terrible experience.

We stayed in January 2024. The location wasn't an issue, but this isn't the place to stay if you want to be in the middle of the action. The price seemed reasonable for the setting, though I thought it was expensive for what we got. Breakfast was disappointing: two kinds of fruit, one juice, weak coffee, cheap margarine, and a long wait for the cuscuz and tapioca. When my daughter got sick and vomited all over the room during the night, I called the number I used to book, but NGN answered the next day at 14:40, after I'd sent a message. They said there was an emergency number at reception, but nobody gave it to me at check-in, and they didn't seem concerned about what I needed. There are things here that need improvement.
