Star Palace Hotel

The rooms were lovely and clean, all overlooking the pool, and the people were nice.

Fantastic.

The pool area was one of my favorite parts, really pretty and pleasant. I do wish they allowed guests to use it for longer in the morning, since 10:00 feels a little late to open it. The hotel is also in a great spot on the main street, with everything easy to reach. The staff were kind, helpful, and attentive, and the rooms were tidy and very clean. Breakfast was satisfying. Along with what was laid out, they could make crepes, tapiocas, or omelets to order. A couple of small suggestions: offer sugar packets, and consider easy-to-clean covers for the fabric chairs, which looked a bit neglected from spills and birds. The shower also needs attention, as the water was either cold or much too hot. Still, I recommend the hotel and would happily return.

The hotel is well located, and my room and bathroom were spacious and clean. One small suggestion: add a wastebasket in the room. The pool towels were large, clean, and smelled fresh. There was a good range of food at breakfast, but I found the kitchen staff’s loud conversations and shrill laughter distracting. It also sounded like someone was blowing their nose in there. I know they’re people, not robots, but I’d have liked the person in charge to keep the noise down so guests could eat in peace.
