Jampa Mar Pousada

The only real plus was the location. We paid R$ 465,00 for a night in a quadruple room for me, my partner, and our two daughters, and the stay left my family traumatized. We had planned on two nights but cut it to one. Reception treated us well, but the inn smelled strongly of mold and felt very dirty and unhygienic. The furniture was old, the bed was falling apart, the mattress was dirty, and the sheets were filthy, smelly, and torn. The towels were so ragged I hesitate to call them towels. Water barely came from the shower, making it almost impossible to bathe. The old mini-fridge did cool water, but its wiring looked improvised, like a fire waiting to happen. The small pool was filthy, and we couldn't imagine getting into it. Breakfast was awful, with hardly anything to choose from. The fried cakes were burnt and soaked in grease. When we asked for tapioca or scrambled eggs, the employee didn't answer, turned away, and ignored us, so we had to eat whatever was already there. Another employee wrote down guests' names and watched how much each person ate. We also witnessed two kitchen employees arguing loudly and aggressively in front of guests. I was horrified that we had put our lives at risk in such a dangerous place. The city government, fire department, and other authorities responsible for operating permits should shut it down. It was a terrible experience.
