The rooms were cramped. A room for four barely had space for luggage, so we had to close the bags just to get settled for sleep. Some bathrooms had no shower enclosure, and in others there wasn’t room to get dressed inside. The beds were hard and the pillows old. Housekeeping only came when requested. We stayed four days and didn’t get fresh towels or sheets. Breakfast was disappointing, just bread and crackers, the Wi-Fi kept dropping, and the minibar barely cooled anything. They also didn’t sell water, so after arriving at night we had to go back out to buy some. We were a large group, and check-in was awful. The child at reception barely looked at us and handled the check-in while playing on her phone. There were problems with our booking, but nobody seemed willing to sort them out, so we had to find somewhere else to sleep the first night. Communication over WhatsApp was good, but the information never made it to the property. They couldn’t even give us a taxi number to help us get to the other place.

Maria, the owner, is a lovely person, and the place is great value in João Pessoa. I stayed four days and have no complaints. It’s ideal if you just need somewhere to sleep after a full day out and don’t need anything fancy. Breakfast was very good, with the kind of food we’d have at home. Cleaning was always done when we asked, and the rooms had air conditioning and cable TV with lots of channels.

Maria, the night receptionist, was the one good part of the service. The owner of the inn, D. Aparecida, treated us terribly, even making a point of looking at our plates during breakfast. Breakfast itself was very poor, the shower had little water pressure, and room service only happened when requested. Even toilet paper was rationed. Parking is on a rotating basis because there isn’t room for every car, so ours had to stay on the street.

The service was attentive and efficient, and the breakfast was really tasty. There’s a new split air conditioner, cable TV and Wi-Fi. It’s close to everything you might need, including a pharmacy, restaurants and a laundry, and the beach is just two blocks away.

A simple, comfortable, budget-friendly inn, with a cozy, very clean room and an immaculate bathroom. The room had a minibar, TV and air conditioning. Breakfast was good, and it’s close to Bessa Beach. Parking is shared on a rotating basis. I recommend it :)
