Pousada Santo Andre - O Apostolo

Nice place at a good price.

Okay.

I booked a double room but arrived to find two single beds. When I complained, they simply said it was their mistake and they hadn't checked the reservation, but there were no other rooms available. It wasn't a place with 50 rooms where they could have lost track of which one I'd booked. The service felt very unwilling from the start. At reception, the phone kept ringing while the woman watched it and didn't answer; they were laughing and chatting as it rang. It was disappointing. I never want to come back, even if it were free.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and both were well adapted, especially for guests with disabilities. The inn is in a great spot, kept very clean, and the reception and breakfast area are air-conditioned. The breakfast had limited choices, though what was there tasted good. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and polite, and they cleaned the room even during our one-day stay. Our room was near the kitchen, so noise started around 6 a.m. and made it hard to keep sleeping. The TV wasn’t smart and had very few channels, which was disappointing, and the worn mattress wasn’t very comfortable.
