2/10
The room walls were so thin I could hear the person next door snoring, and the bed was uncomfortable with a spring poking up. The AC barely worked, the bathroom shower was covered in mold, and breakfast was disappointing. Front desk staff didn’t offer to help with our luggage. An iPad was stolen from our room, so don’t leave valuables out. Being next to the mall was convenient, though getting an Uber at rush hour is miserable because of the roundabout. The prices are exorbitant, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The city view is mesmerizing, and the location near downtown makes the hotel easy to reach. Parking was confusing, though, with no clear directions for guests. We eventually found the right place on the fifth floor. The service was lacking too. Orders took forever, and for our family of four, the room had only two towels. We asked three times over two hours before the other towels arrived. Breakfast was okay. The room was spacious but already showing its age.

The pool on the 20th floor has a great city view, and the conference facilities can handle a large crowd. The breakfast is pretty good, and the staff are friendly. It’s a new hotel with very large, nice rooms. My main complaint is that the AC heating didn’t seem to work in any room, which was a problem on cold winter nights in Brazil. The room internet was also slow, annoying when attending a conference.

The event space has 10 separate areas, so it works well for all kinds of events and scientific meetings. The hotel is less than 200 meters from a shopping center. Rooms are spacious, with a really nice bathroom.

The breakfast is decent. Beds are a bit too firm, and I’d like more pillow options. The room could use better lighting in different spots. At least the WiFi is free, though it could be faster.
