Heliose Alves helped me a lot with suggestions for local activities and attractions. I really appreciated how fluent she was in English, since we've found that pretty rare in Brazil. She was cheerful and smiling the whole time, too.

Mariana at reception was so kind and thoughtful. She helped make sure I had a good stay, and I want to thank her for that.

The staff were easily the best part. Everyone was friendly and ready to help with a smile. There's also a 24-hour bar and restaurant, which is handy when work runs late, and breakfast is worth the R$24 (about USD 7). They start serving at 4 AM, which is especially useful for business travelers. The room and its furnishings felt undersized: the bed and TV were smaller than I expected, and it was the first budget hotel where the TV looked smaller than my computer monitor. The desk chair was plastic, and there were no USB ports or outlets set up for different plugs. The lobby has a modern look, though it feels small and cramped while trying to be stylish. One odd thing: the front desk clerk said a twin room could cost more for two people than for one, depending on occupancy. That seems ridiculous.

I was here for work, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my two-week stay. The front desk helped us find good places to eat, and the food in town is excellent, so bring an appetite. The area felt very safe, even for walking at night. Ask the desk what you're looking for and they'll point you in the right direction or check what's available. Uber is an option too, though it helps to know where you're going since language can be a barrier. There's a huge, modern mall a short walk away, with plenty of shops and a large food court offering all sorts of choices. The rooms are a bit small, but there's too much to see outside to spend your time in one. The hotel itself is new, very clean, and well maintained, which mattered most to me. They have a limited number of transformers at the front desk for international guests. A travel adapter should work for most things like a laptop or phone charger, and the staff can help if you're unsure. Most staff speak English, though I wish I'd known more Portuguese. Highly recommended.
