Pousada Casa de Jorge

Casa do Jorge was a great stay. Jorge greeted us with a big, infectious smile and was kind and helpful with whatever we needed. When we asked about laundry, he found a local service that delivered it back to our room. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, with fresh fruit, local juices, bread, coffee, milk, couscous, cake, eggs made to order, cheese, and other typical Brazilian dishes. The woman preparing it was kind and attentive, and we left ready to explore Chapada Diamantina. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and good Wi-Fi. It’s a little outside the center, about a 5-7 minute drive, but the quiet setting made for peaceful sleep. The hotel felt safe, with fresh air and nature all around.

A quiet, pleasant setting in a great location. The host is friendly, keeps the garden looking nice, and makes sure you’re well taken care of.

The place has a lovely, peaceful feel, with birdsong and nature around you. It’s a little away from the center, which worked well for us: we could enjoy the evening bustle and then come back to a quiet night. We were there as a family and Sr. Jorge welcomed us so warmly. The whole place is charming, and Jô made a generous breakfast with so much care. She’s a lovely person too. We recommend it and would happily return many times!

The rooms are spacious, and the location is great, right beside the Ribeirão do Meio trail. Jorge is so friendly, and breakfast was really good. The bolinho de chuva was delicious.
