Pousada Tangará

The breakfast spread was the highlight, with so many fresh, tasty choices that picking what to eat was the hard part. The inn feels welcoming too, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10, but there was still enough time to eat at an easy pace, drive out, and get to the tougher Janela do Céu trail, whose park entrance is only open until 9.

Every afternoon there was fresh coffee, cinnamon bread, and a lovely homemade cake. Those little daily touches made the place feel especially comforting. I also felt at home from day one. No was incredibly thoughtful, letting me use her lovely, very Mineira kitchen to cook eggs and keep up my fitness routine. On the day of the Janela do Céu hike, she even asked the cook to prepare eggs for me to take along since we were leaving early and would miss breakfast. I spent some truly wonderful days at this inn in Minas Gerais, including an unforgettable New Year's celebration with warm, kind people and a welcoming energy that's hard to describe. It was peaceful and cozy, just right for slowing down and resting. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of stay, and I know I'll come back.

Don't miss their colonial-style breakfast, all the little treats were delicious. We stayed at Tangará for New Year's and were impressed by how much care goes into everything. Staying there felt as comforting as getting a hug from Nô, the owner. We'd absolutely come back again.

The location made it easy to get around on foot, since the inn is close to the village center, and there’s parking for added convenience. We found the welcome genuinely warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was generous and lovingly prepared, the sort of meal that makes you want to take your time starting the day. Pousada Tangará made our time in Ibitipoca feel comfortable and pleasant. I’d definitely return.
