Carlton Plaza Limeira

The bedroom had a nice amount of space, but the decor was horrible. My first impression was that the hotel had stopped in the 80s and needed renovations throughout. The pool is nice, though it looks old and has some missing tiles. Breakfast was just okay, and the bread tasted old. There are three tennis courts, but only one is playable. The other two look like a small forest.

The property has a nice setting, a pool and a restaurant, but I deeply regretted my stay because of how the receptionist treated me. I waited for hours in the reception hall while the receptionists were extremely impolite and seemed not to care that I was waiting. It was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were friendly and professional, and reception is open 24 hours, which worked well for late check-ins and early check-outs. The buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there’s reliable Wi-Fi. Outside, the grounds are beautiful, with a large pool split between adults and kids, sports courts, plus dry and steam saunas. Rooms are spacious, most have been renovated recently, and they all have garden views. My only downsides were that the rooms lacked a wardrobe for hanging clothes or dresses, and there was no safe.

The location seems good, but I was disappointed by the food at the buffet.
