Pousada Jardins

I came here for my studies and had a really good stay. It was a different kind of place from what I've used before, but it was peaceful and pleasant, and the room was very good. The bakery across the street, run by Sr Dirceu, has wonderful bread. If you need dinner, a friend of his brings over a really good packed meal.

I won't be back. Everything seemed fine until checkout. I arrived an hour after checkout time and found my things in another room, with my bath towel mixed in with the guesthouse's dirty laundry. The owner, Marcos, had his employee Emily, who was very friendly and looked embarrassed, take all my belongings out of the room, stuff them into my suitcase, and leave it on the floor in another room. Luckily, I arrived just as she was cleaning the room after clearing it out. I messaged the owner to complain about what he had done and to point out the danger he was putting both himself and his employee in. He completely twisted my message and said I was threatening him. He claims this is the guesthouse's standard procedure, but there was no notice of it anywhere. I felt kicked out, even though I had paid everything upfront and in full.

There’s a supermarket and bakery right outside, and in the late afternoon and evening you can find Espetinho do Cearense there, a really nice guy. The location is the one small downside, but it doesn't make a big negative difference. The place is cozy, peaceful even with a shared bathroom, and good value for money. It met my needs perfectly, and the service was extremely friendly.

A peaceful, cozy place that feels like having a home away from home. Marcos, the owner, greeted me and gave excellent service. He really cares about the guests' well-being. Great place, and congratulations on the service you give us.
