Pousada Solar dos Cavalheiros

Nice.

I hated the experience. The beds and rooms were dirty, and the rooms smelled bad. There’s no garage, and there’s hardly any space in the rooms, among plenty of other problems. Sorry to the owners, but this place is close to impossible to enjoy. If you liked it, good for you, because I didn’t.

The location is excellent, close to good restaurants in Cavaleiros, and the value for money gets a 10. The breakfast is simple, with just the basic things, but it has what you need. My apartment was fully equipped and everything worked perfectly, without a single problem. Siqueira and Ana were especially attentive and efficient at reception, as were the other staff. I’m always coming back to Macaé, and I’ll certainly stay at this inn again.

The inn is close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, and breakfast was good. The room was simple but tidy, and the air conditioning got really cold. But the organization needs work. I was given a different price each time I messaged during the week, and when I arrived, the last price still wasn’t right. Maybe several people working there are getting mixed up. Some were friendly, while others barely spoke. There’s no TV in the room, which is a real drawback when you’re traveling and want something to watch, and the internet is terrible. This place could be much better with more organization.
