Flat Pousada Ocean

The room situation went wrong as soon as I arrived: the room I had booked on Booking had been given to another guest who showed up just before me looking for a room, according to the employee. She first moved me to a room below what I had planned to pay for and receive. I complained, and she called the owner for guidance. I was then sent to a huge, dusty room with five beds, four singles and one double, and an exposed electrical box. The air conditioning barely worked, and the Wi-Fi never worked during my stay. The employee said there was a network problem and she would fix it, but my whole day there passed without internet. The worst part was that the door handle was broken and there was no key, so the door would not close properly. My belongings were left in an open room the entire time. I kept asking the employee for a solution and avoided going out much because I didn't want to leave my things there. I couldn't sleep properly, worried someone might come in. From when I reported it until I checked out, she said a carpenter was on the way to make repairs, but nothing was fixed. There was zero privacy. The only person working at the inn seemed overwhelmed and couldn't keep up with the guests' needs. Breakfast was nothing like the photos on Booking, with little variety and little food, not even a third of what was shown. The minibar was rusty too, which seemed like an electrical shock risk. This was the worst inn experience I've had. I won't set foot there again.
