A small place, but really pleasant and cozy. The staff were polite and attentive, and I’d definitely recommend it.

What made our stay at Pousada Praia Pajuçara so special was the care we felt from everyone, especially Gil and Maria. They’re warm, professional, cheerful, and clearly put real love into what they do. The whole team works so well together, and everyone treated us with such kindness. The place itself feels peaceful and comfortable, almost like being at home even when you’re far away. Everything is looked after with care, from the organization and surroundings to the little details. We’ve felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. We’re more than happy with our stay, we’re enchanted by it. We’ll take home lovely memories and special moments, and we know we chose the right place. Thank you so much for everything! We’d gladly recommend it and hope to return many times. 💛✨

The breakfast, location, and staff were good, but I found the value for money poor. I booked through booking and the room was much smaller than the listing suggested. The photos also didn’t match what we found. The room felt cramped, almost claustrophobic, even though I specifically booked one with a balcony for extra space. Cleaning could have been better, the towels were very old and frayed, and there wasn’t a face towel. Water pressure in the bathroom was unreliable too, sometimes it was just a trickle.

The cleaning staff deserve a 10/10. The women kept the room spotless, and the breakfast was a 9/10, with fruit, bread, cake, couscous and more. I did notice that the juice tasted like spoiled fruit on two days, so it would be worth checking the fruit to keep the quality up. The room, on the ground floor, felt more like a dungeon, maybe a 5/10. It was quite small, and the little area at the back wasn’t accessible. There was constant noise from what I think were air conditioning machines, and water dripped there the whole time. A pipe also kept the bathroom window from opening fully. At night the regular water ran out, so we had to use well water. It smelled foul, like sewage while I was showering. We complained at reception, and the receptionist came to our room and said it was normal because it came from the well. That part was a 1/10. The place is close to the beach. If you want to save on lunch, there’s a restaurant next door called hon Kong with good lunch boxes for up to R$15. It was well worth it for us, so we ate there, since the other restaurants were pretty expensive.

The staff really made the stay for us. Everyone was so helpful and polite, and the women in the kitchen were especially sweet and attentive. They even made boiled banana when an older guest asked for it. They decorate the tables with flowers and make pretty salads too, you can see the care they put in. The breakfast starts right on time at 7 and is generous, with different fruits, cakes, bread, couscous, juice and coffee. The couscous is wonderful, make sure you try it. The hotel is very well located, with a public parking square right in front where there was always a space. Reception is open 24 hours, and there’s a freezer where you can buy water, beer, biscuits and soda. Prices are a little higher than downtown, water was R$8 for 1.5 liters there compared with R$6 in the center. Our room was clean and cool, with air conditioning, and there was plenty of room for the two large suitcases we brought. The gas shower got nice and hot. If you’re coming to Maceió, I wouldn’t worry about finding a guesthouse with a big pool. The beach is lovely, the water stays warm even at night, the street is lively, and the guesthouse is close enough that we walked everywhere. We highly recommend the hotel and team, they made our days wonderful. 💖💖🙏🪸🦐🌴
