There are facilities nearby, and the service was pretty good. I was annoyed, though, when our luggage was moved to another room without my approval. Nothing happened to it, but I still found that upsetting.

I felt humiliated by how this was handled. I paid 50% to reserve three months ahead, but the inn has an extension that was never mentioned. The same apartment was booked for two families. The family who arrived first got the ideal location and the safe setting that had been promised. Mine was sent to the extension, where the car had to stay on the street and there was no receptionist, room cleaning, or change of bed and bath linens. Guests keep the apartment and gate keys themselves. The owner kept offering to refund me and even drove me to another inn to switch, but in January there were few options, and the place offered didn’t feel safe for getting to the waterfront. His attempts left me feeling pressured and embarrassed. He also sent long audio messages to show he thought he was doing his best, while making me seem like the one who wouldn’t accept it. Breakfast meant a 10-minute round trip walk, and the space and choices didn’t match what I expect from an inn. I used it only once, then got breakfast from a bakery instead. After five days of this, I finally saw the cleaning woman on the last day and asked her to take out the trash because it had become unbearable. I even had to buy toilet paper. My January vacation was spoiled, and I don’t feel like returning to Maceió. There was a lack of organization and respect: they sold one thing and delivered another.

A terrible stay. The room was dim, the mattress made it hard to get a good night's sleep, and even the toilet paper was the cheapest kind. Breakfast was the most frustrating part. I had to ask the kitchen worker for fried eggs, and on the second day there was no fruit. While I was trying to eat, the man in charge kept coming over to tell stories that had nothing to do with anything. He was unprofessional, talked too much, and made jokes that didn’t fit the situation. He also touched people while talking and kept interrupting. The staff seemed unhappy, and the women appeared to avoid eye contact. He even discussed situations involving other guests, which felt unethical.

I spent a week here with my wife, and we felt right at home. Sid was friendly and understanding from our very first contact, and we were made to feel welcome the whole time. The room had everything we needed and the location was excellent. It was an amazing stay, and I highly recommend it.

The location is great, just a few meters from the waterfront, with a market across the street and pharmacies, laundries, and restaurants nearby. The owners were helpful and good-humored, we were welcomed warmly, and the place was very clean. A few things could be better. The toilet flush was poor, and getting in and out could be a hassle because you have to ring for someone to open the door. There’s no one at reception sometimes, and we waited more than 10 minutes to leave. The balcony lights are sensor-activated, so you can’t sit outside your room at the end of the day. Breakfast was decent but had little variety, and it was the same for all 10 days. The room was cramped and busy, some days food ran out, and guests from two inns shared the space. There were no blankets in the rooms.
