Chale 48 Maragogi Village Gales

Everything was really well kept. The house and chalet were neatly arranged, with staff taking care to make guests comfortable. A great stay.

The staff were attentive, and being right by the sea is a plus, but the place could use improvement. The room was tiny, with hardly any kitchen utensils, and there were lots of people and children shouting. There’s only one pool for everyone. The ramp to the beach is extremely slippery, and people seemed to fall every few minutes.

Luciana was the one bright spot during my four days there. She was helpful and attentive. The rest was disappointing: chalet 48 smelled strongly of sewage, and the tap and shower water were yellow and smelled of chlorine. It was crowded when I arrived, with loud music and some guests drunk. Breakfast was basic and handled by an outside provider. They left it outside the chalet, where flies gathered if I didn’t bring it in right away. I contacted Paloma, who I believe manages the place with Sr Henrique, because I needed to leave the chalet early. They took a long time to respond and didn’t sort out my problem. I wouldn’t recommend it.

You’ll need a car here. There isn’t anything to do within walking distance, and local transport is overpriced and unreliable. The condominium has some facilities, but everything is pretty basic. It’s good for bringing kids, though which chalet you get seems to make a difference. I stayed in 05 and 63. For the price, it’s worth it.
