The location is great, with a lovely beach view and the sand just a few meters away. There's an elevator, which makes handling luggage much easier, and the room was cleaned every day while we were out. We left the key at reception each morning. The receptionists were helpful and polite. Breakfast was simple but generous, with plenty of variety; I liked that they made tapioca to order with the filling each guest chose. The room isn't large and there's nowhere to put clothes or luggage. It had an empty minibar, and although reception sells water, there was a supermarket nearby, so we used the mini fridge a lot. Light from the corridor came in under the door and through the bathroom window, though I think that may depend on the room. The TV channels didn't work. There are outlets on both sides of the bed. The rooms could use some improvement, but I recommend the place and would return.

Getting to Pousada Cabanos is difficult. You enter from the back, on a one-way street where only one car can pass at a time. Check-in was quick, and the room was very clean. The hotel has an elevator, but the room had only a table, and it was broken. There was a minibar, TV, and air conditioning, but no other furnishings. Parking is in a nearby lot. The town center, with its many restaurants, is close enough to reach on foot. The receptionist also recommended a really nice guy at a fair price for a trip to the natural pools. For the room, I'd suggest adding a portable clothes rack, a wardrobe, a proper table, a chair, and luggage rack.
