The staff were the real highlight of Mahana. They were polite, friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to meet our needs without making a fuss. The inn has good value for money. The shared area is lovely, nicely decorated, and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean and smelled fresh, and the room was cleaned regularly. They make it up and change towels daily if you leave the sign on the door or ask reception. Free parking is outside, in front of the inn. All the rooms have windows facing the street. One concern is the soundproofing. There was a locked door in my room that led into the room next door, and we could hear everything happening there. It felt unusual, and the door could use reinforcement to protect both guests’ privacy. The acrylic panels over the door and window lattice also block outside air. At first, having everything sealed felt a bit claustrophobic, though it does help keep the air conditioning cool. The bathroom water comes from a well and has a yellowish color, but they use bottled water for cooking. The minibar isn’t stocked, so you can bring your own drinks. The pool closes at 5 pm. Breakfast had a good variety, with tapioca made to order in several flavors. They weren’t strict about the 10 am breakfast closing time.

We had some wonderful days here and are already hoping to return. Lucas was so helpful and polite, and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was delicious, with something new each day. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the linens smelled lovely. The location is good, and they even surprised us with a sweet little gesture.

We only stayed three nights at Mahana in Maragogi, and wish we’d booked longer. The inn is almost right on Peroba beach and just a few meters from the highway, so with a car, the main beaches are only a short drive away. Our room was spacious, the air conditioning was great, and the balcony was a lovely extra. Not many pousadas have one like it, and ours had a partial sea view. Breakfast was excellent and varied. We noticed a different dish on each of our three days, and the staff gave us helpful tips throughout our stay. The bathroom is the one part that doesn’t quite match the quality of the rest of the inn, but it didn’t hurt my rating. I think it’s well worth it, and we’ll be back soon. It’ll be hard to find better value.

This was the best pousada I stayed at on my vacation. The room smelled wonderful, and the bedding and towels were good quality. Everything was impeccably clean, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was fresh with lots of variety, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. It’s well located, and I recommend it without hesitation. 🤩🤩🤩
