Pousada Solar da Praia

Nice.

Really great, I loved it. I’d like to go back many times, it was so good.

A decent pousada, mostly somewhere to sleep while passing through. The air conditioning was wonderful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Reception is open 24 hours, but there’s no pousada parking, so finding a space can be a bit difficult on weekends. We left the car on the street. The shower in our room was cold and water came out over the top of it, and one light bulb didn’t work. Breakfast had juice, tapioca, ham, cheese, bread, cake, granola, and seasonal fruit, enough to start the day.

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the place was spotless. The rooms are a little small, but had everything we needed. There’s a party outside the pousada in the evening that goes on late, though it was nothing unusual. For someone looking for peace and quiet, it’s perfect. I stayed with my 76-year-old mother, and she had a wonderful time. Breakfast was fantastic, simple but really tasty. The location is very convenient, and I highly recommend it. I’ll be back as soon as I can.
