Pousada Miramar

We paid R$ 350,00 and arrived at 20h, but the stay was so bad that we left at 8h the next morning. The photos I took show the issues I’m describing. This is a simple tourist inn, and I knew that going in. My complaint is that basic cleanliness, upkeep, and comfort were missing for the price. A simple place can still be clean and decent, but that wasn’t our experience at Pousada Miramar. The bathroom was filthy and looked neglected, with old, poorly maintained fixtures. The madeirite door had only a latch, no lock, and visible patch jobs. The air conditioner was loud and had no remote, so I had to get out of bed to turn it off. The sheet was smaller than the bed and came loose during the night. There was no headboard, so my head rested against the wall, and my husband was hurt because of it. The bath towels were tiny, thin, and badly worn. He mistook them for floor cloths. Breakfast was disappointing as well. The reusable plastic plates looked like old, scratched, faded dishes for a children’s party. When I asked for a ceramic plate, the employee said the ones available were “very old.” The tapioca cake seemed to be days old, the sugar rings were hard and stale, and the only juice was watered down. I can’t recommend staying there. Pousada Miramar needs urgent renovation or a full review of its condition before continuing to take bookings.

The inn has that rustic look I love, and it’s really beautiful. It was so peaceful, quiet, and clean, a great place to recharge. We were warmly welcomed, and all the staff were lovely, polite, and friendly. Breakfast was very good and served with care.
