I stayed there for three months, and it was one of the worst places I’ve lived. It was dirty, had no ventilation, the owner was awful, the internet kept dropping, the TV room was an illusion, and the kitchen was full of old things that didn’t work. I only gave it two stars because it was close to everything I needed, including work, college, and places to go, and I couldn’t afford somewhere better in that area. The neighborhood was dangerous too. A young man was stabbed at the entrance while I was living there. So if you want a terrible place in a good area, this is it.

I stayed there for a while and had a terrible experience. It was very hard to negotiate or come to an agreement with the owner of the boarding house. He’s Korean and would pretend not to understand Portuguese when someone needed something, but when he showed up for the money, he understood it well enough to sing Zeca Pagodinho. Once, a young man’s laptop was stolen from inside his room. When he asked the boarding house for help, the owner simply said he wouldn’t do anything because he didn’t like the guy. I really don’t recommend the place. WAKE UP, KOREAN, THIS IS BRAZIL.

Terrible accommodations, and the security deposit check that was left to help a friend disappeared too.

Awful. Nothing works, the house is full of rats, bedbugs, and cockroaches, the water tastes horrible, and the owner is no better.
