Vista Oceanica Pousada

The stay was awful, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We paid for 7 days when we arrived, then decided to extend our stay for work. When we went to pay for another 7 days, they said we still owed more for the original booking and charged us a much higher amount, claiming we'd misunderstood. Why let us pay for 7 days without saying anything was missing, then bring it up only when we tried to extend? None of this had been explained to us. They also charge by the person even though everyone uses the same room. One night, after a tiring day of work, we returned to find an event going on. Nobody had told us about it. We couldn't get to our room or park inside the pousada, so we had to leave the car on the street until it ended, with all the noise too. It was a real lack of consideration. They also added extra nights to the bill without telling us. I'm already looking into my rights over this.

The breakfast was good, carefully prepared, and the room was clean, with a comfortable bed, working minibar, and air conditioning. I stayed in the chalet behind the building that's being renovated. The pousada is in a handy spot, with the shopping street and everything you need within walking distance, and you can walk to the next beach too. The beach in front faces open sea, so be very careful if you swim there, it's dangerous. There was a lot of noise while I was there, with loud car music in the pousada parking area and people talking loudly. It was disrespectful to the guests and left me pretty disappointed. I can't say whether it's always like that or if I was just unlucky.

I got a reservation at the last minute after someone had just cancelled. The service and quality were excellent, and breakfast was really tasty. Such a welcoming place. I'd recommend it!

The pousada is right across from Barra beach in Marataízes, which is a great location. We were welcomed warmly, the service was good, and the rooms were well organized. Breakfast was delicious, and the place felt cozy and family friendly. Highly recommend!
