Casa Paula

I stayed in the upper bungalow for seven days in March 2024, traveling on my own, and Paula and Caco made me feel welcome from check-in to check-out. They shared great tips about town, restaurants, beaches, and outings, and were lovely company during the stay. The bungalow is comfortable and can fit three people well. It’s airy, with a nice hammock on the balcony and two bathrooms. The bedroom is lovely, the bed is very comfortable, and the strong air conditioning kept up with the 32-degree heat that week. The kitchen has a fridge, cooktop, microwave, and everyday utensils. My only minor downside was that there were no toiletries in the bathroom. There’s no breakfast at the guesthouse either, though that gives you a chance to try the local cafes. The guesthouse is well placed for exploring the area’s beaches: Praia dos Três Coqueiros is a five-minute walk, and Ponta do Mutá and the town center are ten minutes away by car. There are also shops, bakeries, and restaurants close by. On site, there are showers, a pleasant warm-water pool, and loungers. The surroundings are simple but comfortable for spending the day or evening there. I’m a cat person, so I especially enjoyed the two affectionate cats. I loved the area and hope to return. I’d definitely stay here again.
