Pousada Maui Maui Wellness

Maui Maui is a little treasure on Taipu de Fora beach, especially if you’re looking for peace and quiet. We stayed from 15 to 20 January 2025. It’s 25m from the sand, on the same street as Casa Amarela Beach Bar, and about 800m along the shore from the natural pools. Our room had a double bed and two single beds with enough space for everyone, plus a small table, counter, and chairs. There are hooks outside the bathroom for damp towels. The bathroom has a roomy shower enclosure and an electric shower. The water pressure is low, yes, but that fits with the need to conserve water. They provide a nice little set of soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and you can ask reception for a hair dryer. Everything was clean and carefully maintained, with no musty smell at all. There’s a TV if you need one, a minibar, and air conditioning to take the edge off the heat. The shared area is small but cozy, with lovely landscaping and a little pool that’s great for unwinding after the beach or a day out. Two things really stood out. Breakfast has a limited selection, but the quality is exceptional: everything is well made, not too sweet, and full of flavor, with options that change daily. You can ask for scrambled eggs or tapiocas made fresh. Rain or shine, it’s a lovely way to start the day. Simone welcomed us warmly, shared lots of useful tips for transfers, trips, restaurants, and more, and was attentive throughout our stay, making everything more comfortable. I’d recommend Maui Maui without hesitation. It may not be the cheapest option in the area, but it offers very good value.
