Pousada Villa da Serra is simple and cozy, with friendly staff, delicious food, and clean rooms. It’s 15-16 km (10 miles) from Inhotim. It’s welcoming to animals and children, with a pool, a table tennis table, snooker, and a volleyball area for playing and relaxing.

It’s a pretty, cozy, peaceful pousada, great if you want to rest and get away from the rush. A few things could have been better. I’d have liked a little more attention from the staff, and the restaurant service needs some work. Even though it was empty, our orders took longer than expected, which was frustrating. The breakfast was okay and covered the basics, but wasn’t anything special. The room also needed better lighting, especially at night, which would make it more comfortable. The playlist around the restaurant and pool didn’t really fit the feel of the place and could be changed. And the beer wasn’t cold enough. It could have been much colder, especially for a relaxing day by the pool. The many cats and the little dog who live there were a lovely extra. They’re beautiful and well cared for, and make the place feel even more welcoming, especially if you like animals. With a few changes, the pousada could offer a much nicer experience.
