Eco Porto Resort

Karol, David, and Patrick deserve a special mention. They were warm, attentive, and clearly care about their work, which made our family stay feel even more memorable. The reception, restaurant service, comfortable rooms, and overall setting all felt thoughtfully put together. We were impressed by the ambition and planning behind Eco Porto Resort. There was one snag at checkout. I was told I needed to bring the room key to close out the stay, but nobody had mentioned that beforehand. It was raining, so going back to the room just for the key was inconvenient. When I explained that other hotels we’ve stayed at usually check the room afterward, the response felt cold and lacking in empathy. That stood out after such warm hospitality during the rest of our visit. The stay was still very positive, and this was the only thing that kept it from feeling completely perfect. I wanted to share the feedback because the experience was so good overall. Congratulations to the team, and I hope Eco Porto Resort keeps succeeding. A small adjustment could make the stay feel seamless.

We left very satisfied with our family stay. Breakfast and lunch were generous and complete, and the food was wonderful. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and had a beautiful view; we were also welcomed warmly. During the day, the waiters were always nearby and ready to help around the pools, though dinner service was a little disappointing. There was a mistaken charge for a Coke we hadn’t had in the room when we settled the bill, but they corrected it.

The place itself is beautiful, cozy, and has real potential as a spot for a family break. My first visit was good despite the limited, expensive menu, and I’d overlooked a few smaller problems because of how lovely the setting was. This last trip was frustrating, though, and I’m not sure I’ll be back even though I’d recommended it to friends before. We traveled with children for a birthday. After it started raining late in the day, it took far too long to bring us the things we needed to get to the restaurant for dinner. Our room had no internet, and I was told ours was the only one affected. The air conditioner remote batteries didn’t work, and the TV was out too. We were hungry, and it all became a mess. Staff showed little interest in sorting out problems that seemed easy to fix. The reception service was the biggest issue. They had quoted the wrong price, then were rude when trying to fix it. The man was somewhat approachable, but the women, including the manager and receptionist, weren’t courteous at all. On top of that, they put a lot of items on my bill that we hadn’t used, as if almost everything in the room had been consumed. It felt like retaliation. I disputed it as soon as I checked, and the housekeeper arrived in a panic, saying the items weren’t ours and she’d already sent the correct list. Another reception mistake. I could feel the tension between the employees. Please rethink how this is handled.

I’m wrapping up my stay and I’m really happy with it. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the food’s very good, and the leisure facilities are excellent. What matters most to me is the service, and the staff have been attentive and helpful throughout. Thanks for the experience!
