The 17 days my partner and I spent at Smart Flat were relaxing, and the place had a nice vibe. We could walk to local shops, and I took plenty of daytime walks, got lost a bunch of times, then eventually made it back. The location was my first stop in Brazil, so it holds good memories for me, and I’m sure I’ll return. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The night concierge greeted us warmly when we arrived from New Zealand, and the daytime staff were just as friendly. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and staff answered our questions and requests quickly. They were patient with my limited Portuguese and even started learning basic English greetings, which I really appreciated. Breakfast began being offered near the end of our stay. I thought that was a great idea, though by then I’d become a regular at Chico's Padaria and loved my pao de queijo e cafe com leite. I still miss it dearly! Muito obrigado pessoal!!!!!! Many thanks from Auckland, New Zealand!
Great!
The flat is in an okay location, and both the cleaning and the spacious accommodation were fine. The bed for two was small, though, and the pillows were much too thin to support my head, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The unit needs maintenance. The bathroom window had a broken latch, so it kept banging in the wind throughout the night. Breakfast costs extra per person.
The apartment was really well furnished. The mattress felt a little too soft for me, but everything else was fine. Since I rented privately, I paid extra for breakfast, which I thought was just average.
