The breakfast arrived right at the chalet, generous and tasty, with a delicious jam made by Nilce herself. She sells it in her shop too. We stayed in chalet 1, which was spacious and had a lovely view from the veranda. It felt like my grandma’s house, and there was a fireplace and heated sheets for cold days, though the weather was so pleasant during my stay that I didn’t need either. Sr. Luís and Sra. Nilce were incredibly welcoming. When Sr. Luís heard this was my first trip to Monte Verde, he patiently opened a city map and pointed out places to visit. You can walk to the main avenue from the location. I loved every part of the stay, and I’ll definitely return to Monte Verde and stay at Chalé Dona Zenta.

My wife and I stayed here this weekend and would happily come back. Chalet number 2 had a great view and a cozy room with a fireplace, which we didn’t use. Breakfast was very good, and Luis and Nilce were exceptionally kind, polite and attentive. The main street is about 400 meters away. I recommend it.

Our host was so helpful and attentive that we felt truly welcome. Our big boy Argos loved it too. We’ll definitely return, and I highly recommend the place.

Our room had a beautiful view, felt close to nature, and we even got a visit from the lovely cat Artur. The room itself was delightful, with a comfortable bed and towels changed daily. Everything was clean and working perfectly. Luís took excellent care of us throughout our four days there. The stay was a really nice surprise, and we’ll definitely be back.

The chalet was wonderfully clean and smelled fresh. It had gas-heated water at every tap, a fridge, a two-burner stove with an oven, some kitchen utensils, a fireplace and heated sheets, which made the stay even better. The couple were so welcoming, showed us all the details, and offered help and suggestions. I booked through airbnb in the first week of August and was pleasantly surprised. It’s about 2 minutes by car or 8 minutes on foot from the main street. The uneven ground means anyone with limited mobility could struggle getting up and down to the chalets, and parking in the garage was very difficult for the same reason. We left the car on the street the whole time since the town felt safe, so that worked fine for us.
