Pousada Cerejeiras

The people here made our stay especially memorable. Cris takes care of breakfast, which was one of the best spreads we’ve ever had, and Miguel and Emerson were quick and happy to help with everything we asked for. Even Vicente the cat gave us a warm welcome and made the place feel that much more special. The whole team deserves credit for the excellent hospitality. Pousada das Cerejeiras is beautifully cared for. The rooms were clean, the gardens and maintenance were in great shape, and everything worked as it should. With a heated pool, two kinds of saunas, two decks with a lovely view, and a gym, there’s plenty to enjoy. We were so comfortable there, we hardly wanted to leave.

I loved the peace and quiet here, and every little corner of the pousada. The massage with Michele was lovely too. Vicente the cat was the first to greet us, with all her charm, and Luciano put so much care and attention into making our stay the best it could be. Miguel was always available to help as well. The approach can be rough depending on your car. There’s a stretch of dirt road with potholes and loose stones, and the pousada itself is very steep, so getting around calls for a powerful vehicle. Walking isn’t convenient either, since the town’s commercial center is far away. My room was fantastic: very spacious, with a fireplace, bathtub, heated bathroom floor, air conditioning, and wide windows looking out at nature. The place was also very clean. Breakfast was average in terms of variety, and some items weren’t replenished. I’d requested gluten-free options when booking, more than a month ahead, but that request wasn’t met.

It’s quiet here and great for a rest, with a pleasant leafy view from the pousada next to a park. Breakfast has lots of choices and is excellent, and there’s also a very good gym. The heated pool and deck overlooking the city are nice extras. Getting around may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility, since some rooms are reached by a steep staircase. Otherwise, we had a great stay.
