Pousada Ibérica

I didn't have a very good stay, although the pousada is just a block from the beach. The rooms are very basic, the furniture is old, and the TV was a 14-inch tube set. They change the sheets only every three days, so on a four-night stay they don't change them at all. Room cleaning happens every other day, but they only swept and took out the trash. The bathroom stayed dirty. They don't provide toiletries such as soap or shampoo, and the toilet paper is recycled. The room's internet was awful and kept dropping. I was there to take a public service exam, and the price had doubled. Breakfast was very poor: just papaya and melon, stale sweet bread, crackers, cornstarch biscuits, and margarine. The coffee with milk was the only thing I liked. The owners don't have tourism partners or suggest tours, but you can walk to a nearby agency, go to the beach, or visit the handicraft shopping center across from the beach.

The breakfast was really good, and I’m already going to miss this place. Pousada Ibérica is close to so much: Orla da Praia dos Artistas, convenience shops, snack bars and restaurants. The Associação dos Artesãos is nearby too, with local crafts and very good food. I always saw patrol vehicles around, so the area felt safe, and there’s reception 24 hours a day. The rooms were cozy and spotless, with air conditioning and private parking. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and I felt at home. It’s a fabulous place. I have nothing to complain about, only praise. I’ll definitely come back.

The room was cozy and well organized, and the owners were friendly and helpful. It’s an excellent pousada. The only letdown was breakfast, which had little or no variety.

The location is handy for restaurants and tourist spots, just behind the black sand waterfront. It’s a simple pousada, but everything is well organized. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was tasty, though there wasn’t much variety. Good value for the money.
