I liked how well placed the hostel is, near the university, the beach, and shops. The house was clean, organized, and peaceful, and there’s an upstairs area where you can relax by the pool. Áurea was attentive and quick to help guests, and she’s great in the kitchen too. Try her snacks. I had a fantastic stay for a few days and recommend it!

The location is handy for the ferry, restaurants, and the beach, and the whole stay was fantastic. My room and the bathroom were very clean, and breakfast was really good. The welcome was impressive too. The owner was attentive when I contacted her directly after seeing the place listed as full on Airbnb. Everything was sorted out nicely. It made me feel there are still people who care about whether guests are satisfied. I recommend it 300%.

Placido Hostel felt like home when I needed help most. I'm a Mexican exchange student in Brazil, and the owner was kind, lovely, and attentive to every guest. The place is clean, well kept, quiet, and centrally located, near the boat station, Plaza Shopping, Icaraí Beach, and other spots. I was treated really well, and the menu has lots of tasty food to choose from. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.

The host was welcoming and very attentive, and the house is cozy and well organized. The location is great, close to the beach, shopping, supermarkets, and a pharmacy. If you're coming to study, UFF (Instituto Biomédico) is right around the corner. I recommend it.
