Pousada Brudoni

It was okay.

I stayed in room 3. The beds were soft and really good, the TV was new, and the air conditioning worked well. The shower uses an electric heating element, but it worked very well and didn’t make bathing a problem. The entrance and parking are exposed to the street, though there’s a night watchman and during the day reception keeps an eye on things through the camera. Wi-Fi was fast and worked without losing signal. The room was clean and smelled nice. It’s close to Termas and the restaurants. A very good stay, so don’t worry, you can come and stay peacefully. I’ll definitely be back. UPDATE: THE POUSADA IS NO LONGER OPEN!

The neighborhood was extremely quiet, great for sleeping and resting after a tiring day at the park. The pousada is a 10-minute walk from the main avenue downtown, with lots of shops and restaurant options. Thermas dos Laranjais is only five minutes away, and for making the most of the park, you don’t need more than a pousada like this. Excellent value for money, with great air conditioning and Wi-Fi, an unusually spacious bathroom, spotless cleaning, and a very welcoming staff. Breakfast was simple but delicious. I highly recommend it.

We were treated politely, but the coffee was pretty weak. In ROOM NINE, the bathroom light switch has an opening and is badly placed, which could cause an accident with a child. A little safety cover could fix it. The hair dryer outlet mirror has exposed connectors, another possible child safety risk, and the dryer was burned out. The shower was crooked, with water falling almost on top of the controls, making it quite hard to bathe. The handheld shower for children was damaged and didn’t work. The bathroom window has no inside handle, so it has to be closed from outside. The shower caddy is crooked, and an outlet coming out of the ceiling in the room hall doesn’t work. A drawer unit could be added in the corner by the bed, against the wall beneath the air conditioner. There’s little storage, so adding clothes hooks would help: two in the hall, one by the TV, one by the air conditioner, and one or two by the headboard. Coat stands would also work.
