Cama e Café Casa de Campo Olinda

Great place.

We felt comfortable using the space, and the breakfast was very good. The employees made us feel at ease. The house has a rustic, nicely decorated feel, with a country atmosphere created by the veranda opening onto the garden and pool. The street is narrow, as is typical in Olinda. There's no parking inside, but since it's a dead end, we could park in front of the inn's gate.

Gigi, one of the staff, deserves a special mention. She was unfailingly polite, calm, and dedicated, always ready to help us feel comfortable. The place is clean, tidy, and cozy, and we truly felt at home. Even though it's at the end of the street, that wasn't a problem. It's on a very quiet residential street, with a grocery shop and bakery nearby. A little haven in Olinda, just right for getting away from the rush and routine, even if you live close by. We came looking for somewhere to relax and found exactly the right spot. We'll definitely come back, and I highly recommend it!

The king room smelled moldy, and the bathroom smelled like vomit that hadn't been cleaned properly. The living room reeked of cat pee, and on the second afternoon we found a dead cat on the sofa. Nobody came to make breakfast on the second day, and it wasn't served until 10:30 in the morning. The pool was dirty, with lots of decomposing leaves. The entrance was awful, and the access street floods when it rains. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
