10/10
The location is quiet, and the grounds are attractive and well maintained. It’s a little farther from the centre of Ouro Preto than other places to stay, but we had a hire car, so that wasn’t a problem. The staff were lovely. I felt for them carrying breakfast to guests in the heavy rain. Our chalé had everything we needed for a short stay, including comfortable beds, a hot shower, and extra pillows. Breakfast was excellent, and it was nice to have the option of having it served in our room. We booked after our first hotel had no rooms for an extra night, based on the Google reviews, and we weren’t disappointed.

It’s calm and quiet, with private parking, and right at the town entrance. If you have a car, the location gets five stars. The lodging was excellent, and the service was extra friendly. Highly recommended.
