Pousada Guignard

We were right on the main street, close to everything, and the view was wonderful. Our room was tidy and clean, and the pousada itself was pretty and cozy. The host was helpful and always available. We had a great stay, definitely worth it!

The pousada’s decor has a lot of charm, and breakfast was very good. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location in Ouro Preto was fantastic, probably the best.

Fabiano made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His kindness and warm hospitality went beyond what we expected, and we felt like part of the family. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, with a sophisticated touch and thoughtful care throughout. Our stay at GUIGNARD was wonderful, and we’re grateful for all the attention we received. We’ll recommend it to friends and family and hope to come back soon. The location was perfect for reaching the central sights, and the best restaurants and bars were close by, so trying the local food was easy. Our room was spotless and decorated with care and good taste. The quality bed linens and comfortable pillows made for restful nights. The towels and robes were lovely, and the room with the bathtub felt like a real treat. Everything was clean and had a cozy scent that made us feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight in its own right. There was a special touch that made each dish stand out, and the quality ingredients were clear in everything, from the fresh juices to the cheeses and cold cuts. The fresh cakes were tempting, the cheese breads were warm and hard to resist, and breakfast had no set end time, so we could take our time enjoying it. I stayed at Pousada Guignard from November 1 to 4, 2023, and found it especially lovely for a romantic trip. It makes a strong impression. There’s no parking lot, though I found a nearby place to park fairly easily. I barely used the car and left it on the street overnight, which felt safe. Still, if parking matters a lot to you, keep in mind that there may not be a spot in front, and the car could end up a little farther away. It’s a beautiful house, well cared for by the family who have owned it for years. The rooms are spacious and attractive, with elegant decor. This is a family-run place, and Fabiano, the family member responsible for the pousada, manages it personally. The atmosphere and relationship feel different from the impersonal setup of a traditional hotel or pousada with an employee at the entrance. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with everything specially prepared with care by Fabiano and Vera. The location is great too, very close to Praça Tiradentes and the city’s good restaurants.
