The suite’s wonderful view was what first surprised me in a good way. Breakfast was good too, and the bed was so comfortable and heated that it saved us from the cold. The shower was excellent. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, though it looked very cozy. I’d definitely come back.

We went back on April 17, 18, and 19 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it turned into a really special stay. The hotel restaurant was a pleasure too, with tasty food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive, polite service from Silva. When we arrived, Cris and Maria were so helpful, courteous, and warm. Cris found out why we were there and gave us a lovely travel kit box. Such a kind gesture, and one we won’t forget. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, cozy place, and we’d love to return.

The garden was gorgeous, beautifully kept, and full of little details. Everyone was kind and attentive, and Maria deserves a special mention. She looked after us with so much affection, she’s a sweetheart. My husband and I stayed at Pousada Vila Mineira in Lavras Novas, and the chalet was lovely and extremely comfortable. The view is one of a kind, a sea of mountains that’s captivating at every time of day. We’re already wishing we’d stayed longer, and can’t wait to return.
