The owners were so kind, and the hotel was wonderfully peaceful. They helped us arrange a taxi to Bomba so we could start our hike to the Pati Valley. Going solo is easy enough, but check trail conditions first since the rivers can be very difficult to cross. Both dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Highly recommend.

A lovely, friendly place. There are opportunities for meditation early in the morning, including walking meditation through an exceptional labyrinth. The house dedicated to Lord Ganesh is very eccentric, and there’s a nice swimming pool too.

The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. I stayed at Pousada Lagoa das Cores in Vale do Capão from January 9 to 12, and came away grateful and already wanting to return. Marcos and Vânia, the owners, were attentive and made me feel at home. Everything was spotless and carefully looked after, from the fresh-smelling towels and immaculate bedding to the little details around the inn. It’s a peaceful, comfortable place, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay in Vale do Capão.
