Gustavo and the staff were friendly and helpful, and the substantial breakfasts were delicious. We spent 5 days at Casa Mar in May, enjoying the beautiful position above a picturesque beach and tiny fishing village, with lots of boats available to hire for trips to nearby beaches and islands. The lunch and dinner menu is limited, but there's a good restaurant down on the beach and plenty of choice in Paraty, 15 minutes away. Prainha, the best beach, is an easy walk along the main beach, followed by a 15 minute forest walk. The swimming water is great, and there's an excellent beachfront bar and restaurant there. All in all, a great spot for a relaxing 5 days. Highly recommend!

After a full day in town, it was lovely to come back and unwind here. The view at breakfast time is hard to beat, and the breakfast itself was wonderful. Gustavo gave us fantastic attention, and the staff were so helpful with restaurant suggestions. Getting to the town center was an easy, short drive. We also loved the kayaks on the beach and were touched by the honeymoon upgrade. That kind of gesture feels rare with mass tourism these days. The location and views are breathtaking. We’d love to return!

We were so glad we chose casa mar. The open layout works beautifully, and the property itself is gorgeous. The pool was lovely, with great views, and warm enough for us to really enjoy. The team was very accommodating. An excellent place to stay!

It’s close to the beach, though set up on a hill with breathtaking views. The place has a relaxed feel and appealing design, and the food is simple but good quality. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.
