Pousada da Rose Paraty

I felt right at home here. Everything was organized, and I was comfortable. Rosé and Kathia are wonderful people. Breakfast was simple and lovely, made with care. It was really hot, but the air conditioning and ceiling fan both worked perfectly. This is a beautiful place, and I already miss it. I'd definitely come back and highly recommend it.

A really cozy place, very clean throughout, with great rooms. The staff were kind and helpful, and everything was very good.

The location is good, and adults can walk to the center. It's a simple pousada, but the owners are very helpful and keep trying to make guests happy. I'm gluten intolerant, and they arranged gluten-free food for me at breakfast. I'd recommend staying here.

The one thing that stood out positively was the owner's husband. I can't remember his name, but he was attentive, welcoming, and pleasant every time. The room was basic, with a window air conditioner that didn't cool it well, so we also had to run the ceiling fan. That unit was noisier than a split system. The shower barely put out water, so it was either very hot or a cold shower. Breakfast was a letdown: just backyard fruit, banana nanica or papaya, and the papaya was bad. We asked for two portions of scrambled eggs, but what arrived looked like just one. One day another guest asked for eggs and the pousada owner said she'd miscalculated and had none left. With little enthusiasm, she said she'd have more bought. There was also an outdoor area with a barbecue. When the owner's husband showed it to us, he never said there'd be a charge to use it. Then the owner told us there was a R$ 100 cleaning fee. That was disappointing.
