The TV didn't work, so the cockroach sharing my room and I luckily avoided an argument over what to watch. It was smarter than me, though, since it checked in during the night. The rooms are falling apart, and this was probably the worst pousada I've ever stayed in.

We had a great time here. The reception staff were very helpful, and breakfast was basic but fine. Our room was cozy and charming, and the location put us right in central Paraty.

The location is convenient, close to both the center and the historic center. It's a very simple place, though the room has air conditioning and a minibar. What bothered me quite a bit was the loose dogs and cats. There was an animal urine smell at breakfast, and cats usually sit on the tables and chairs, which didn't feel hygienic, especially since I'm allergic. Breakfast is quite basic and served late, at 8:30. There's no parking lot. There is room out front for four cars, but it's first come, first served.
